Assignment - Developing a Unit Plan
Your unit plan should be a complete package that includes the following:
- a rationale, unit goals and objectives
- National Science Education Standards that are met
- lesson plans for at least one and half weeks, preferable longer
- both formative and summative evaluation including any quizzes, assignments, projects, tests, and associated rubrics
- lists of all materials and resources needed
IMPORTANT: Your unit plan should also contain the following:
- Activities that involve applications of science in the community
- Unit Plan includes socially relevant issues and discusses social context of science
- Unifying concepts of science
