Intro to Engineering: Project 2nd to 3rd Quarter
Your Goal:
Build
a Rube Goldberg Machine in no fewer than 18 steps as a class with each
individual contributing at least three steps to the machine.
Guidelines:
- All
designed steps and machine building must be safe and approved by Ms. P
(aka- no flame throwers, acids, potato guns, etc.)
- Each
individual must submit a written description and sketch for the design
for each of their three steps that will be compiled in a group report.
- Not all three steps designed by an individual can be continuous (at least one must occur separate from the other two)
- Work done must be logged weekly as a research group using the group log.
MACHINE OPTIONS
A. Dispense the correct amount of hand sanitzer (2010 Machine Contest)!
B. Turn a page of a book.
C. Staple two pieces of paper
D. Type "Hello"aka a short message on a cell phone or computer key board
E. WHAT WOULD YOU LIKE THE CLASS MACHINE TO DO?
