I am a PhD student in Cultural Anthropology at the CUNY Graduate Center focusing on Latin
America, working on issues of US/Latin America relations, border
communities, the military and "the state," transnational identities, and diasporas within Latin
America as well as work on the construction of identity, nationality, and race in Spanish Caribbean cuisine.
