The Filoha Hamadryas Project includes research on the social behavior,
feeding ecology, and vocal communication of wild hamadryas baboons.
The Project began in 1996 as a collaborative effort between the Awash
National Park Baboon Research Project (ongoing since 1973) and the
Ethiopian Wildlife Conservation Organization. Today, the Filoha Hamadryas
Project involves collaboration between researchers at the City University
of New York, the University of Natal in South Africa, and the Ethiopian
Wildlife Conservation Organization.
