Admissions

Applications for Fall 2009 Admission to the MFA Program in Creative Writing and Literary Translation are due on February 15.

In addition to the standard application available from the Graduate Admissions office additional materials include: a 500-word statement of interest in our program and a writing sample as follows:

  • ten page of poetry or
  • twenty-five pages of prose or
  • two one-act plays or
  • one full-length play

If you are applying in literary translation, you will need to demonstrate an appropriate level of fluency in a language besides English and submit previously translated work (5-10 pages) as a writing sample.

Our program is small and highly competitive.
