Postdoctoral Positions (2) in a Howard Hughes Medical Institute-funded Research-Teaching Postdoctoral program will be available in the fields of Neuroscience and Bioinformatics at Queens College, CUNY, starting fall 2006. In order to prepare post-doctoral fellows for the challenges they will face as researchers/educators they will be situated in an appropriate research lab as well as being paired with a faculty teaching mentor. In order to better prepare the Fellows for future faculty positions, they will initially assist in teaching undergraduate courses and, in consultation with their teaching mentor, will design and teach a course in their specialty during their second year on campus. Salary is $36,000 per year.
