Research Assistantships

Eligibility:

Financial Support
Financial support is provided for participation in this program. Research assistants are awarded $3000-$5000 depending on their class standing (junior/senior) as follows:

The professors who mentor these students also receive finances to purchase lab supplies. The amount depends on our budget for the particular semester, usually $250-$500 per student per semester.

Peer Tutoring
This is a local AMP program funded by Queens College. The departments of Chemistry, Mathematics and Physics offer stipends to Peer Tutors in introductory courses in these departments. These stipends are usually about $500 per semester, paid in installments. The program is beneficial not only because of the financial award, but because it is an excellent way to review the material and improve your communication skills.

Eligibility
If you did extremely well (A) in one of the basic courses and you are an US permanent Resident or Citizen.
