Partnership: A Guide for Parents is an Equity Studies Research Center publication created to bring helpful
information to parents of students in our Pre-K through 12 Schools. Partnership is a monthly publication available to all via the web.
Submission Guidelines
When Should You Submit: Anytime. If a Partnership is currently being published,
your submission (if accepted) will be held for a future publication of Partnership.
Who Should Submit: Any full-time or part-time faculty at Queens College/CUNY interested in sharing
their ideas with parents that will help them and their children in school.
How Will Partnership be Published: 50 Copies will be reproduced in paper form,
but the publication will appear on line on the Equity Studies Research Center website for anyone to access and read.
Topics: Helpful hints for parents with children in Pre-K through 12 schools (e.g. building a useful communication relationship with your child's teachers, healthy
homework habits, studying tips, etc.).
Intended Audience: Parents with children in Pre-K through 12 Grades
Length: 1,000-1,200 Words, or 1.5 pages
Format Style: APA Style
Should Include:
1-2 Paragraphs describing tge tip for parents
A checklist for actions the parent should take to ensure the tip works
Other ideas that may expand on the topic/tip

1) Send as an e-mail attachment (Word Document [.doc], Text Document [.txt], or Rich Text Format [.rtf]) to
Sonia.Rodrigues@qc.cuny.edu.
Please put “Partnership Submission” in the subject line of the e-mail.
OR
2) Send diskette or CD with Word Document/Text Document and a hard copy to the
Divisional Office. Please note on the envelope that the enclosure is a submission for Partnership.
