Subject: CUNY Faculty Development Follow-up Session
Dear Colleagues,
At the February 28 CUNY Faculty Development workshop I announced that we were
going to have a follow-up session on May 9. Because of a scheduling conflict
with the CUNY Council, I am forced to move our follow-up session to Friday, May
16.
In the workshop evaluations, most of you indicated that you had found Dr.
Postlewate presentation on oral exercises for the Internet particularly
intriguing, and declared a strong interest in learning more about Blackboard’s
oral capabilities.
I have thus invited Eva Fernández, Assistant Professor of Linguistics at Queens
College, and Coordinator of the Queens LOTE, to lead a hands-on session on
manipulating sounds files in Blackboard.
Dr Fernández’ workshop will take place in our Language Lab (Humanities 240) from
10:00 to 1:00. We will meet for breakfast at 9:30 in Humanities 213, and have
lunch together at 1:00. I hope many of you will be able to participate. Please,
let me know as soon as possible if you will be able to attend, indicating also
if you will be having breakfast and lunch with us.
I look forward to seeing you on May 16.
