Off Campus Access to QC & CUNY Library Resources
There are two different methods that QC users can use to access online resources from off-campus. The Proxy Service allows QC users to login to the Library's website to access ALL QC Resources (including CUNY resources). Access is available to CUNY Resources ONLY to users with a current valid QC ID card.
ALL QC Resources by Proxy Service (Preferred Method)
- Step 1
- Students must activate their Active Directory Services (ADS) account by logging into the College Account Management System (CAMS) from any student workstation on campus. Registered students need only activate the account once.
- Reminder for the CAMS login: The College ID is the social security number, PIN # is the registration PIN/password (for those without a PIN, use the last 6 digits of the social security number), Postal Code is the zip code. The ADS account will be listed twice, on two separate lines - to activate the account, create the same password for each line.
- Faculty/Staff can apply for an ADS account by submitting a completed Computer Account Request Form in person at the Help Desk in I-Building, Rm. 133.
- Step 2
- Users must configure their web browser (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc.) following the instructions on the Proxy Service website.
For questions about ADS accounts or the Proxy Service contact the OCT Help Desk (I-Building, Rm. 133): 718-997-4444.
