Welcome to the QC Library!  Our library mission is to provide the technology and the tools you need find the information you are seeking.  Librarians here have advanced degrees in Library Science as well as in another subject area.  We specialize in technical and public services, reference and instruction.  Not everyone who works in a library is a librarian.

Many college level assignments require students to use the library. 

You may hear the term ‘information literacy’ used by those of us teaching within your classes or in the library.  Information literacy is a set of abilities requiring one to recognize an information need and the ability to locate, evaluate and use effectively the needed information.

An information literate adult is someone who:

1. recognizes the need for information
2. is able to identify, access and find the needed information
3. can evaluate and apply the information
