Government Documents
Queens College Library has an extensive collection of government information resources in paper, microfiche and electronic formats. The U.S. Government publishes a wide range of documents on many topics, ranging from executive, legislative, and judicial information, through publications on commerce, art, parks, and archaeology, for example.
Most of these materials are available on the web. Please see the Government Documents page for recommended sites.
CUNY+ is also a good place to search for government documents owned by the Queens College Library. However, items received before 1985 are not listed there. For items received between 1976 and 1985, consult the Catalog of Government Publications, also listed as the Monthly Catalog of Government Publications. For items received before 1976, consult the print, Monthly catalog of Government Publications (Periodicals Level I Abstract/Index).
If you want to search for government documents, in the CUNY Catalog, use the Guided Search. In the Locations menu, choose Government Documents. This will bring up documents on the web as well as those physically stored in the library.
