Services Offered
The Minority Students Affairs Office at Queens College welcomes you. We hope that our office will help you get started on or stay on the path to success. Equally important to academic ability is the ability to manage your undergraduate career. The services are:

  • Friendly and welcoming environment
  • Personal counseling and referrals
  • Academic counseling: course and major selection
  • Support Groups: men & women
  • Graduate school planning and assistance with application process
  • Cultural and social events
  • Coaching and mentoring
  • Health professions and Pre-law advisement
  • Information on opportunities, meetings, and services for minority students

Leadership Retreat
Leadership Retreat is organized by the Student Life office and its purpose is to instill leadership skills in students.

Peer Counseling Program
The Peer program gives you an opportunity to learn professional counseling skills, earn college credits, help fellow students, make friends, and develop your communication skills.

Career Development
The office of Career Development offers an updated list of professional internships, and part-time/full time jobs. The office also assists students with preparing resume and cover letters, along with a system to store your professional references. Located in Frese Hall, 2nd floor.

Student Union
The Student Union building is home to over 100 clubs on campus. The Student Life office located on the 3rd floor has information for all the campus clubs and student activities.

Health Center
The Health Center located in Frese Hall, 3rd floor, takes care of student’s immunization records. The health center also provides opportunity for free medical services for Queens College students.

USSC (Undergraduate Scholastic Standards Committee)
The USSC located in Frese Hall, 2nd floor, is in charge of hearing appeals from students regarding different academic issues, such as withdrawing from a class after the approved period, and retaking CPE after the allowed 3 trials.
