| NEUROPSYCHOLOGY
Neuropsychologists explore the relationships between brain systems and behavior.
Neuropsychologists study structural, functional, or chemical changes in the
brain and the subsequent experiences in cognitions, emotions, and behaviors.
Research work is applied to healthy individuals of all ages of the life span.
In addition, clinical neuropsychologists diagnose and treat patients with
central nervous system disorders including stroke, dementia, head trauma,
and epilepsy. Neuropsychologists work in academic, university, or medical
settings, where they conduct research, or clinical hospital-based or practice-based
venues.
