Why should I give to QueensCollege?
Our commitment to excellence in education has remained
steadfast. Due to the cuts in state and federal funding, we depend even more upon
your support. Private gifts allow for programs that the state and federal
governments can not. Every gift enhances the resources available to QueensCollege.
Now more than ever, your contribution to QueensCollege makes a difference
to our students. Thanks to the thousands of friends and alumni who have
contributed funds for academic programs, state-of-the-art equipment and
scholarships, Queens was recognized as being in the top 10 percent of American
Colleges in the 2001 US News and World Report.

There is strength in numbers. That's what the annual fund is
about - your gift working with others to achieve a common goal. Last years'
contributions from close to 12,000 friends and alumni amounted to more than
$7.2 million in cash and pledges. When foundations and corporations consider
gifts to the College, they look at alumni participation in the Annual Fund.
Alumni support is also a component in the US News and World Report ranking of QueensCollege as one of the top
colleges in the United States. It is important to
realize the impact of your gift. Not only does it directly benefit today's
students, it also helps create more funding by sending a direct message that
our alumni believe in and support QueensCollege.

How can I support QueensCollege?
You can help QueensCollege maintain its
standards of excellence in education by making a donation. Donations can be in
the form of checks, securities, bequests, insurance, or charitable trusts.
Checks for donations to the Annual Fund can be made out to:
Queens College Foundation, Queens College, Office of Development, 65-30 Kissena Blvd., Flushing, NY 11367-1597.
For your convenience, donations can also be
charged to your MasterCard or VISA (only) by the online donationson our web site,
or by filling out the credit card information section on the annual fund return
envelope.
You can double or even triple your gift to the College if your company
has a matching gift program. To see if your company sponsors a matching gift
program check the list. If your
employer appears on this list simply request a matching gift form from your
personnel office and follow the directions on the form.

Can
I designate where my contributions go?
Yes. You can restrict your gift to support a particular department,centerorscholarshipfund. For restricted gifts you can make
your check payable to Queens College Foundation, noting the department, center
or scholarship fund on the check.
