Each year thousands of students, alumni and friends visit the Queens College campus and stroll what has been recognized as one of the most beautiful college campuses in New York metropolitan area. A central and distinctive feature of the campus is the magnificent quadrangle bordered by historic Jefferson Hall, the newly renovated Powdermaker Hall, the soon to be renovated Remsen Hall and a breathtaking vista of the New York skyline.

Queens College has set aside areas along the newly landscaped quadrangle, as well as another area of the campus to be designated Alumni Plaza, where alumni can have their name or that of a parent or friend commemorated. Offerings include three line inscriptions to be engraved on a brick, a plaque placed beneath a newly planted tree, or upon a park bench where students sit and study. Alumni who wish to be recognized alongside their classmates, sorority sisters, fraternity brothers or fellow houseplan members will also have the opportunity to select designated areas in which to participate as a group.

Queens College/CUNY is offering naming opportunities within two of its major performance facilities - the 479-seat Goldstein Theatre and the 2,124-seat Kupferberg Center. A seating plaque commemorating a friend, loved one or you will be placed on the arm rest of one seat in the theater of your choice. We are delighted to announce that thanks to the generosity and support of the City Council of the City of New York and the Queens Borough President’s Office, Kupferberg Center has completed an ambitious renovation project, with the installation of new stage lighting systems and new seats in Colden Auditorium and Goldstein Theatre.

The Colden Auditorium is the largest indoor performance space in the Borough of Queens and boasts an annual attendance of over 500,000 people viewing such renowned artists and attractions as: Natalie Cole, Dance Theater of Harlem, Micheal Feinstein, Linda Eder, Andre Watts, Barbara Cook and countless others.

You can do this easily by calling 718-997-3740 or by making a contribution online.

$500 per Bouquet of Ten Books.

Many other commemorative naming opportunities are available at Queens College in a variety of areas and price ranges. Items that are commonly asked about are scholarships, endowments, classrooms, laboratories, spaces within buildings and areas on the campus. The amount of the contribution required varies with cost and the impact the facility has on campus life. In determining what commemorative opportunity is best suited for a donor, we often suggest that the donor first consider:

Is there an academic discipline or department which bears particular interest, such as Arts and Humanities, Math and Natural Sciences, School of Music, School of Education, Social Sciences, Library, etc.?

Is there a building or campus location which presents a special appeal such as Rosenthal Library, Klapper Hall, Kiely Hall, Powdermaker Hall, Music Building, Remsen Hall, Science Building, Outdoor Plazas, Campus Theaters, Museum or Galleries?

Is there a College Center that affords consideration such as Center for Jewish Studies, Asian American Center, Center for Greek and Byzantine Studies, Calendra Institute, Kupferberg Center for the Arts?

Is there a gift range limitation?
