SCHOLARSHIPS    (Please click the list of each scholarship for more information).
The primary scholarship fund of the College. Four-year scholarships are awarded each year to a limited number of entering freshmen. Freshmen applicants with a high school average of 90 and SAT scores of 1250, and rank in the top 10% of their class are encouraged to apply. Please visit   their web site.
Presented annually to a graduating senior who has maintained an outstanding academic record, has contributed to the best interests of the College, and has been accepted for graduate study at Queens College.
Awarded to a graduating undergraduate or graduate student of the School of Education who has submitted an essay or paper in the areas of philosophical, social, or curriculum theory of education.
Presented annually to a graduating senior who has made significant contributions to the needs and interests of students with disabilities on campus, or who has demonstrated academic achievement while meeting the challenges imposed by experiences with disability.
Awarded to a student who has demonstrated both a commitment to academic excellence and to fostering a campus of equal access and opportunity for all members of the Queens College community. Please visit   their web site.
Given for special talent and creativity in mathematics.
Provided annually by her family, and is given in her memory to a graduating senior in a health-related discipline who has maintained an outstanding academic record at the College, has made significant contributions in campus affairs, and has displayed qualities of concern for others, as Sunny did.
Awarded to the most promising graduating senior specializing in archaeology.
Offered annually to a graduating senior who has made a significant contribution toward fostering human relations and eliminating the divisions that separate people.
Presented annually to a graduating senior who has maintained high standards in scholarship and character and has contributed to the best interests of the College.
Provided annually by the family of Martin David Dahlmann, a February 1970 graduate of the College. It is given in his memory to a graduating senior who has maintained an outstanding record at the College, has made significant contributions in campus affairs, and has been accepted to medical school.
Awarded to a black student, of junior class standing and with financial need, who is majoring in one of the physical sciences. The student shall have maintained an outstanding academic record at the College. Please visit   their web site.

Annual award to a graduating senior who has maintained an outstanding academic record, has contributed to the best interests of the department, and is planning to do graduate work.

Awarded annually to a graduating senior who has maintained an outstanding academic record and has contributed to the best interests of the College.
Offered annually by the A. Joseph and Cecile A. Geist Foundation, Inc., to be used for tuition by a Queens College pre-law student who has been accepted for admission to an accredited law school, has maintained high standards in scholarship and character, and has contributed to the best interests of the College.
Awarded to graduate students in the Department of Linguistics & Communication Disorders.
Presented annually to a graduating senior who has maintained high academic standards, has shown promise of contributing to the community, and has plans for continued education.
Two annual awards are given to students graduating with a master's degree in recognition of outstanding scholarship and exceptional research or accomplishment in the creative arts and humanities, and the mathematical, physical, biological, and social sciences.
Established by Queens College Foundation Trustee Joseph Grano, Jr. Partial scholarships are provided for academically qualified and financially needy students majoring in the sciences and/or education.
Presented to an outstanding Family and Consumer Sciences teacher education student.
Awarded to a graduating sociology major who has attained an exceptionally high grade-point average while taking varied and challenging courses.
Presented annually to a graduating student who has maintained high standards in scholarship, has made an outstanding and valuable contribution of service to others in the Queens College community and/or in the community at large (particularly to the minority students on campus), and has been accepted to a professional school. The award is made by a group of alumni to acknowledge the contribution to their educational experience made by Helen T. Hendricks, a member of the College staff.
Presented to a student who has distinguished himself or herself in the Drama, Theatre and Dance program.

Funded by an anonymous donor and awarded annually to a full-time undergraduate student majoring in science or mathematics who has an outstanding academic record as well as potential for a career in science.
Given to a distinguished student going on to graduate study in Drama.
Provided annually by the family and friends of Arthur H. Kahn, former Special Counsel to the Board of Higher Education of the City University of New York. It is presented to a graduating senior who has maintained a high academic average, has contributed to the best interests of the College, and has been accepted for study at the City University of New York School of Law at Queens College.
Presented by the Family, Nutrition & Exercise Sciences Alumnae in memory of Dean Margaret Kiely.
Given annually to graduating seniors of outstanding academic achievement whose activities have been in the best interests of the College and its goals.
Presented annually to a graduating senior with high academic skills who shows promise of contributing to the quality of life in New York City, and has plans for continued education.
Provided annually by the staff of Queens College and other friends, in memory of the College's first president, to encourage scholarly accomplishment, moral and intellectual integrity, and good citizenship. These awards are made to graduating seniors who plan to enter graduate work.
The Kenneth Kupferberg Memorial Endowment provides a scholarship to a full-time junior or senior student who is majoring in the natural sciences and has an outstanding academic record. The endowment is funded by the Kupferberg Foundation and the family and friends of Kenneth Kupferberg, Class of 1941.
Awarded to a graduating student who satisfies one or more of the following requirements: a sociology major who will be accepted for admission by Columbia University's Graduate Sociology Department; a social science major who will be accepted for admission by one of Columbia University's Graduate Social Science Departments; a sociology major who will be accepted by a graduate school social science department at a major university and who will follow a graduate education following the intellectual traditions established by Paul F. Lazarsfeld.
Awarded to an undergraduate sociology major, before he or she is eligible for graduation, who has a high academic average.
An annual award is made to a Queens College student based on financial need and promise for community activism and leadership. Preference is given to applicants who show potential for future contribution to improving the quality of life in New York City, promoting more harmonious racial and ethnic relations, increasing the voice of those who have gone unheard, increasing the political participation of those who have been politically under-represented, or otherwise serving as an advocate for the disposessed.

Queens College Scholars, Madoff Scholars, and Queens College Foundation Scholars are graduates who received scholarships based on outstanding academic records prior to entering theCollege and and maintaining that level of performance during their undergraduate careers.
Awarded to the most promising graduating major specializing in physical (biological) anthropology.
Presented to a QC SEEK pre-law student who has been accepted for admission to an accredited law school.
Presented annually to a student with the highest cumulative index upon completion of the baccalaureate degree. To be eligible, a student must have completed at least 112 credits of quality point bearing grades at Queens College.
Presented to a graduating economics major who has contributed the most distinguished service in advancing the department's professional interest.
Awarded to the student who demonstrates the most promise in acting.
Offered annually to a graduating senior who has maintained a high academic average, and contributed to the best interests of the College.

Two annual awards offered to graduating seniors who complete the baccalaureate degree with academic excellence.

Established by the Roarers Fraternity in memory of members Vincent Esposito, Warren Laube, Kenneth Mildenberger, Reynold Rodriguez, and Edward White. The award is presented annually to a graduating senior who has maintained a good academic record and has made an outstanding contribution to the College through community service.
Given annually to a graduating senior of outstanding academic achievement who plans to go on to graduate school.
Awarded to a declared chemistry major who has completed four semesters of chemistry with grade of B or better, and a separate award to a graduating senior with the same background.

Awarded to a graduating senior of high scholastic achievement who plans to attend law school after graduation. It is funded through the family and friends of Jeffrey Vigliarolo, who was a Political Science and Communication Arts & Sciences major at the College.
Presented annually to a graduating senior who has a superior record of scholarship and intends to pursue a career in college teaching.
Established at the College by the National Speakers Conference and Mrs. Saul Weprin in memory of Saul Weprin, former Speaker of the New York State Assembly. Recipients are selected on the basis of academic excellence and demonstrated evidence of a strong commitment to and interest in pursuing a career in the public interest.
Given to a graduating Economics major who has demonstrated outstanding scholarship, creativity, and intellectual curiosity.
Awarded to the most deserving graduate who majors in Comparative Literature.
