Mona Lisa Ribeiro won three races and Val Varpakhovic added two wins as the Lady Knights defeated U.S.M.M.A. and Baruch College on Friday night in Flushing. Queens bested U.S.M.M.A. 69-42 and beat Baruch 56-44.
Ribeiro won the 100 breastroke (1:11.61) the 500 freestyle (26.63) and 100 freestyle (58.28) for Queens. Varpakhovic's wins came in the 1000 free (11:43.05) and the 500 free (5:43.93). Derina Wilson also came out on top for QC in one meter diving while Brittany Schuler was victorious in the 200 free (2:18.05) and joined teammates Jacqui Barnett, Erica Rodriguez and Carla Cruz to win the 200 freestyle relay in 1:56.19.

The Lady Knights made it two in a row by defeating Pace University, 127-81, on Wednesday evening. Valeriya Varpakhovic and Mona Lisa Ribiero each paced the field in two races apiece while Brittany Schuler (200 free) and Derina Wilson (1 meter diving) won their events to help Queens to their victory.
Varpakhovic's wins came in the 1000 free (11:54.08) and the 500 free (5:55.71) while Ribeiro won the 50 free (26.56) and the 200 breastroke (2:39.03). The 200 free relay team of Rachel Walter, Jacqui Barnett, Erica Rodriguez and Carla Cruz were also victorious.

Valeriya Varpakhovic and Mona Lisa Ribiero each won three races to help the Lady Knights defeat Hunter College, 57-38, on Monday night in Manhattan. The 200 free relay team of Rachel Walter, Jacqui Barnett, Erica Rodriguez and Carla Cruz also took first place in 1:56.42.
Varpakhovic bested the field in the 1000 free (11:50.67), the 500 free (5:55.36) and the 200 IM (2:25.36). Teammate Ribiero won the 100 breastroke (1:13.57), the 50 free (26.36) and the 100 free (1:00.13).

Monalisa Ribeiro swam a 1:12.45 to win the 100 yard breastroke but the Lady Knights lost to Bridgeport, 11-92, in Fitzgerald Gymnasium on Friday afternoon. Ribeiro, who won this race against NYU earlier this month, also finished second in the 50 yard freestyle.
Valeriya Varpakhovic posted two second place finishes for Queens, one in the 1000 freestyle and the other in the 100 butterfly.

New York University defeated Queens College, 164-104, on Wednesday night in Flushing in the Lady Knights' 2007 season opener. Monalisa Robeiro bested the competition in the 100 breastroke, finishing in 1:13.84.

Maria Dellagiovanna won three races to help the Lady Knights defeat Kings Point, 65-48, and Baruch, 74-31, on Friday at the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy. Maria won the 200 freestyle, the 100 fly and the 100 backstroke.
Shannon Church also won two races for Queens - the 50 free and the 100 free. Church, along with Carla Cruz, Rory Church and Jessier Yang, won the 200 medley relay for QC.

Valeriya Varpakhovich and Maria Dellagiovanna each won two races while Melissa Regan bested the field in 1 meter diving to help Queens defeat Pace University, 199-99, in Flushing on Wednesday. Varpakhovich won the 100 breastroke and 1000 freestyle while Dellagiovanna touched up ahead of the competition in the 50 free and 100 free.
The 200 medley relay team of Rory Church, Melissa Regan, Fiorella Sotello and Anyela Duarte also took first place for Queens.

The Lady Knights won six individual races, one relay and the one meter diving competition in posting a 132-95 win over Hunter College in Flushing. Melissa Regan was the winner in diving while Shannon Church, Val Varpakhovich, Maria Dellagiovanna and Jessie Yang were victorious in the 200 medley relay.
Dellagiovanna (50 and 100 free), Varpakhovich (500 and 1000 free) and Church (100 back) also registered individual wins along with Carla Cruz, who paced the field in the 100 breastroke.

The Lady Knights returned to action after a nineteen day layoff by splitting a tri-meet at Baruch College on Friday afternoon. Queens defeated their hosts 62-32 and were edged by U.S.M.M.A. 48-47.
Valeriya Varpakhovich and Maria Dellagiovanna each won two races for QC and teamed with Lauren Diffendale and Jessie Yang to win the 200 meter free relay in 2:00.08. Varpakhovich bested the competition in the 400 meter free (5:06.66) and the 800 meter free (10:28.67) while Dellagiovanna won the 50 meter free in 28.59 and the 100 free in 1:02.73.

Bridget Smith won the 1 meter diving competition for the third time in four meets in a 142-83 loss to C.W. Post in Flushing on Friday. The 200 meter relay team of Valeriya Varpakhovich, Lauren Diffendale, Maria Dellagiovanna and Jesse Yang also won in a time of 1:50.07.

Maria Dellagiovanna won the 100 fly in 1:06.52 and the 50 free (26.8) in a 49-46 loss to Adelphi in Garden City. Valeriya Varpakhovich and Lauren Diffendale also won in the 1000 free and the 100 free respectively for the second consecutive meet.

Queens got into the win column on Friday afternoon after defeating the University of Bridgeport, 114-78, in Flushing. Valeriya Varpakhovich won the 1,000 freestyle with a time of 11:55.1 while Lauren Diffendale outswam her competitors in the 100 free (1:03.10). Bridget Smith also won the diving competition for the Lady Knights.

Camila Trias and Maria Dellagiovanna each won two races but it was not enough as Queens was defeated by C.W. Post and Adelphi at a dual meet held in Brookville, NY. Dellagiovanna bested the field in the 50 free (26.32) and the 100 free (57.43) while Camila Trias hit the wall first in the 100 fly (1:08.23) and the 500 free (5:51.85). Desiree Corbin also won the 1000 free in 12:19.42.

Maria Dellagiovanna won three races while Agustina Reyner and Jamie Choi each won one apiece to lead Queens to a 116-79
victory over the University of Bridgeport on Friday in Connecticut. Dellagiovanna finished first in the 50 free (29.34 seconds), the 100 fly (1:12.59) and the 100 back stroke (1:16.55). The meet was the first in the history of Bridgeport's women's swimming
program.
