Welcome... The Science Teacher Careers (STC) is sponsored by the Division of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, in strong collaboration with the Division of Education, of Queens College. Its primary goal is to address the critical shortage of high school science teachers in Queens and New York City. STC recruits candidates and together with the Science Education program of SEYS provides a comprehensive science education support system and assistance toward their goal of initial science teacher certification and ultimate employment as science teachers in New York City and NY State. We admit post-baccalaureate applicants as well as undergraduates, who are dual-advised by STC and SEYS, and especially encourage women and minority applicants. Its participants come from many countries of the world and many professions. Admissions: At Queens College, Science Teacher Career participants are recruited for admission to STC each September and February.
