The Aaron Copland School of Music at Queens College, in cooperation with University College Chichester (UCC), is sponsoring an exciting opportunity to study composition and performance in the charming cathedral town of Chichester, located in south-central England. Offered during Summer Session II of 2001 (July 2 -20, 2001), students will pursue a minimum four-week course of study in music composition while being housed on the campus of UCC. Working together with British student performers in music and dance as well as with performance faculty from UCC, CUNY music students can earn three credits in composition studies and can elect to include instrumental studies. The program offers participants the opportunity to collaboratively create chamber music and dance compositions, culminating in a public performance of their work at the end of the session.
