Bocce New York’s
Public Courts Bocce is for everyone!
Perhaps that is why its popularity continues to climb. Bocce is so simple that anyone can play. The object of the game of bocce
is to simply roll one’s bocce ball closer than the opponent’s to the
little white target ball called the pallino. Yet, from this
simplicity emerges endless complex strategies for the advanced players. While many
private clubs and facilities feature bocce courts – there are also
many public parks in the New York metropolitan region that feature bocce
courts. As a service to
the Italian American community, the John D. Calandra Italian American
Institute provides this list of bocce courts that are open to the
public in the New York metropolitan area. To learn more about
the history, origin, rules, court regulations, etc. of this timeless game
please refer to the resources listed below. This list will be
updated from time to time as more bocce courts are identified. Please contact us if you know of a
public bocce court that is not listed here. Geoffrey Claroni, Esq. Assistant
