All of our cultural events are designed to create a dialogue between scholars and the general public on topics concerning Italian-American history and culture.
Regular events sponsored by the Institute are done primarily through the Academic and Cultural Programs that consist of the “Philip Cannistraro Seminar Series,” the “Writers Read” series, and the “Documented Italians” series. The Institute also sponsors an annual conference of a specific theme that changes from year to year. This conference usually takes place at the end of April.
In addition to our regular programming, the Institute also organizes occasional exhibits and, when relevant, collaborates with other institutions both here in the United States as well as abroad. In June 2007, for example, the Institute co-organized an Italian-American Film Review for the 43rd annual Pesaro International Film Festival, which was later presented in New York in September 2008.
We look forward to seeing you at our future events! Arrivederci a presto!
