Italy sponsors the Italiani
nel mondo site with links to the scholarly journal Altreitalie ,a
form for locating Italian ancestors,and more links.
- Luigi Bonaffini's Italian
Dialect Poetry site is an incredible resource for learning about the
other Italian Languages.
- Literary scholar Fred
Gardaphe's article on discovering Italian American writers is a
great introduction.Fred heads up the Italian
American Studies program at Stony Brook College.
- the Canadian publisher Guernica has released many books by Italian
American and Italian Canadian authors.
- Chicago-based author Tony Ardizzone,
who Gardaphe's writes is "one of the
best short story writers around," writes about Italian American
themes.
- the Italian-American Writer's Association (IAWA)supports
and promotes the living authors. IAWA lives by the motto "Write or
be written."
