The Korean Program offers courses in translation as well
as language courses and advanced literature courses in Korean.
The in translation courses cover a variety of topics from the
earliest periods of Korean culture to contemporary times.
The advanced literature courses offer diverse readings of older
genres, such as hyangga, kayo, kasa, sijo, kodae, sosol, and
pa'ansori, as well as modern poetry, fiction, and popular
culture.
Many of these courses fulfill the College LASAR requirements
in Humanities.
