Bob Haan was the first Liaison between Queens College and Townsend Harris High School and the Director of College Preparatory Programs as an Associate Dean of the Division of Education from 1984 - 1991.   While Director, Dr. Haan continued to teach in the QC History Department as well as in the Honors in the Western Tradition, including the Freshman Humanities Colloquium for the Townsend Harris HS Bridge Year.   One of his personal projects was a computer game he created that revolved around early 16th Century Italian politics.   He gathered a group of Harrisites that would meet regularly to play the game, discuss historical tactics, and enjoy a different implementation of the learning process.

Bob Haan was a man of great humor and great integrity.   He shall be missed.
