Make up policy: Private lesson teachers will provide 15 lessons per semester and will make up lessons which they have missed. However, teachers are obligated to provide only one make-up lesson for those lessons which the student has missed, as long as the teacher has been notified of the cancellation by at least 8pm on the day before the missed lesson. Jazz Camp Dates: July 8 - August 1 (M-Th)
Times: 9:30AM - 3:30PM
Fee: $1650.00
The Summer Jazz Camp at CPSM is designed to meet the needs of both beginning and experienced jazz performers, ages 12 to 18. The workshop offers an intensive full-day program that maximizes performance time each day with three ensemble rehearsal periods, a midday performance forum, and daily master classes. Students also attend theory/improvisation and jazz listening classes each day.
Musical Theater Workshop Dates: July 8 - August 1 (M-Th)
Times: 9:00AM - 3:30PM
Fee: $1199.00
This exciting program will consist of classes in vocal technique, dance, song/ audition repertoire, acting and scene study. At the end of the session, students will perform in a Showcase open to the public. Every student will be assigned a lead role in at least one scene. The program is open to students entering the 5th to 10th grades in September 2012.
Admission by audition.
Multi Genre Chamber Music Festival Dates: July 8 - August 1 (M-Th)
Times: 10:00AM - 3:00PM
Fee: $1200.00
Open to intermediate through advanced string, wind and piano students, ages 12 to 18. This four week program will consist of daily rehearsing, coaching and master classes. A gala showcase performance in LeFrak Concert Hall will conclude the workshop.
Admission by audition.
Guitar and Percussion Workshop Dates: July 8 - August 1 (M-Th)
Time: 10:30AM - 3:30PM
Tuition: $1200.00
Beginner, intermediate and advanced players, ages 10 to 16, will be accepted in this workshop. The workshop will feature instruction for guitar and percussion students, that will focus on performance techniques, and other related issues. All performers will rehearse daily, and a final concert at the end of the workshop will feature the students in a variety of ensembles.
Summer Private Lessons Dates/Times: TBA with instructor
Fee: $33 for 30 minutes
       $43 for 45 minutes
       $55 for 60 minutes
Private instruction for brass, wind, string, piano, guitar and voice students available for all levels of experience.
String Camp Dates: July 8 - July 18 (M-Th)
Time: 10:00AM - 3:00PM
Tuition: $600.00
Open to students, ages 6 through 12, for both traditional and Suzuki string students. Daily classes will include: semi-private lessons, group classes, musicianship, reading skills, Dalcroze eurhythmics, and chorus class.
Suzuki Piano Masterclass Dates: six Wednesday evenings
Times: TBA
Fee: $120/six sessions
Open to Suzuki piano students of all levels. Individual instruction in a group setting. Music reading, supervised practice time, parental involvement and performance are all part of this valuable supplement for private lessons.
