Submissions Needing a Second Review and Deferred:
Other Business
There will be no December meeting. Any revisions received will be voted on by e-mail. Attempts will be made to follow-up with departments from whom no response to the requested revisions has yet been received. It was noted that if revisions are not received, the courses may not make it through to the February 2009 Academic Senate approval, needed for Fall 09 implementation.
Plans for a one-day faculty retreat in January addressing Gen Ed PLAS and Synthesis courses, and assessment, are being developed.
A presentation is being given in Urban Studies on Dec 3rd on PLAS course requirements and teaching strategies.
On-going discussion continued regarding assessment. A question of baseline data was raised.
Adjournment
The meeting was adjourned at 1:35 PM.
Respectfully submitted,
M. Miller, Recording Secretary
