The committee clarified the fact that GEAC minutes contain links to course proposals that were submitted to GEAC and which GEAC has approved. However, the only official course descriptions at the College are those which have been approved by the UCC and the Academic Senate, and course descriptions published by GEAC are simply records of documents submitted to the committee.
Chem 16.1 & 16.3 - Chem 16.1 is a 1 credit lab with a 16.3 prerequisite. If by graduation a student has taken both, they will get credit for NS<he Chemistry Department has submitted new titles for CHEM 16.3 (Chemistry in Modern Society Lecture) and CHEM 16.1 (Chemistry in Modern Laboratory). We have forwarded them to UCC for processing.
The committee made explicit its current practice that proposals approved with “minor revisions” would be forwarded to the UCC as soon as the liaison establishes that the revisions have been made, without waiting for the full committee to meet again.
