Assistant Professor of French, Department of European Languages and Literatures. He received his Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin , Madison . His research interests include twentieth-century novels, theater and film; literary theory (especially feminism and queer theory); the relationship of identity and subjectivity to language. He has published articles on Jean Genet and Jean Cocteau.
