SOCIAL SECURITY CARD/NUMBER

In order to obtain a Social Security Card/Number, International Students must take the following documents to the Social Security Office listed below:
  • Original passport
  • F-1 or J-1 Visa
  • Original I-94
  • I-20 with INS-DSO’s signatory approval (See Int’l Student Advisor) or DS2019 with J-1 Responsible Officer signature.
  • Letter from Int’l Student Services Office with EIN # -Employment Identification Number (See Int’l Student Advisor)
  • Letter of job offer from employer

Directions to The Jamaica, Queens Social Security Office: The Office is located near the intersection of Jamaica Avenue and Parsons Blvd., across the street from the Archer Ave. Subway Station.
 
  Take the “E” train to Parsons Blvd./Archer Ave. or take:
the  Q-25, Q-34 or Q-44 from Flushing to Jamaica Center Parsons Blvd., and Archer Ave.
