| A Queens College (QC) faculty
member will need to contact the QC International Students & Scholars
Office to request an application to host a professor,
researcher or student for a specific program of study
or work at Queens College. |
| The J Visa is a State Department
document, issued only at the U.S.Consulate in the applicant's
home country. |
| The J-1 Visa is needed
to legally enter the U.S. for the purpose of teaching,
conducting, research or engaging in a special program
at the College. |
| It is mandatory that all
J-1 Scholars and J-2 Dependents enroll in a J-1 health
insurance program. |
| It is also required that all J-1's and
J-2's report to the Queens College International Students
and Scholars Office at least 5 days before their U.S.
entry date. |
