Renovation has begun!
The library's renovation is expected to be completed by the end of summer 2012.
Level 2
The entrance, stairway, elevators, and classrooms 223–225 ARE STILL available.
Temporary walls have been installed, closing off the rest of this level.
Computers removed from Level 2 have been redistributed throughout the library, and a new computer lab in the New Science Building will be opened in Spring 2012.
Printing and copying have been relocated to Level 1.
When Level 2 is completed, the library will have a new Computer Commons and Copy Center.
Level 3
Starting January 27, borrowing and information services will move from Level 3 to Level 4.
Work has begun on the new Research Office and the Special Collections Seminar Room.
The entrance to Level 3 will remain open until work begins on the new service desk and turnstile entrance areas. At that time the Level 3 entrance will be closed, and Level 2 will become the library's primary entrance and exit. Borrowing and reserves will move to Level 4.
When Level 3 is completed there will be a new borrowing and information desk, a new research office, a new security office, and a new Special Collections Seminar Room.
Level 4
While the desk on Level 3 is being renovated, services will be relocated to Level 4.
These services include borrowing, reserves, interlibrary loan, book returns, fine payments and information services.
