Requirements:
You must meet the following requirements in order to qualify for college
credit:
•
Media Studies major or minor
•
Junior or Senior standing
•
Overall 3.0 GPA
You may do an internship for 3 credits or 6 credits. For 3 credits, you
must fulfill 135 hours at your internship over the course of the semester.
For 6 credits, the requirement is 270 hours. You may take a total of 9
credits in internship placements (only 3 may count toward the major).
In addition to spending time “on the job,” you will be required to write a 10-page research paper. For more information on the Media Studies internship program, click here.
Getting started:
To apply for a credited internship, you need to fill out Form A
and return it to Prof. Einstein, Internship
Director, in G-208A. Prof. Einstein will confirm your class standing
and GPA.
You will also need a resume to apply for internships. If you need assistance
with this, contact the Internship Director.
How to find an internship:
The Media Studies database contains over 450 internship opportunities.
The database is password protected. In order to access the database, you
must either apply for the Media Studies internship program (see above)
or contact the Media Studies office at 718-997-2950.
