Biographical Information:
William Frampton studied with Kim Kashkashian at New England Conservatory of Music (BM) and Samuel Rhodes at Juilliard (MM). He has appeared in recital in Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, worked as soloist with conductors such as Joseph Silverstein and David Hoose, and has worked with composers such as Gyorgy Kurtag and Malcolm Peyton. 2012-13 season highlights include chamber music performances with Midori, members of the Guarneri quartet, multiple tours of Asia, and performances as guest principal viola with the American Symphony Orchestra. Frampton's festival appearances have included Verbier Festival Academy, Amelia Island Chamber Music Festival, Buck Hill-Skytop Music Festival, Kneisel Hall, Sarasota Music Festival, and others. He has collaborated with such artists as Paul Katz, Peter Wiley, Roberto Diaz, Andres Diaz, John Dalley, James Dunham, and Roger Tapping. Frampton is the co-founder and Artistic Director of Music at Bunker Hill, a chamber music series in Southern New Jersey. He is currently a DMA candidate at The Graduate Center, CUNY.
