Biographical Information:
Michael Dease has been recognized as the premier jazz trombonist of his generation.  Since moving to New York in 2001, Dease has performed and recorded with Roy Hargrove, Jimmy Heath, Wynton Marsalis, Christian Mcbride, Claudio Roditi, Slide Hampton, Charles Tolliver, Mark Whitfield, with the Dizzy Gillespie All-Stars and a host of others. 

Dease’s fourth CD as a leader, Grace (Jazz Legacy Productions) met with rave reviews across the jazz community.  Other releases include Clarity (Blueback, 2008), Dease Bones (D Clef, 20078), and The Takeover (2005).  His other passions include the operation of his record label, D Clef Records and music education.  Many of Dease’s former students have won international competitions, gained entrance to the world’s finest music conservatories and excelled as professional musicians.
