The undergraduate program in political science offers students flexibility as well as guidance as they choose a program that best fits their needs. Students may, but are not required, to select courses along curriculum tracks in Law and Politics and International Politics. All political science majors participate in a research seminar, a requirement that hones students' writing skills and encourages them to do serious scholarly work on a topic of interest.
The undergraduate program prepares students well for their
future goals. Over half of Queens College political science
majors go on to graduate study. Our internship program also
provides practical experience to students, offering
opportunities for students to explore possible career choices
in the field.
