EXIT CRITERIA
The first class will have successfully graduated from the Queens School of Inquiry in 2012. It is our expectation that each of our graduates:
· will have scored at level 3 or 4 in New York City 8th grade testing mandates in ELA, Math and Science, completed New York State exit outcome assessments satisfactorily. 90 % of 8th graders will have passed the Algebra Regents by summer of 2007.

will have maintained a yearly academic portfolio including the
Student Action Plan.
· will have presented a yearly Inquiry Project, culminating in a major Middle School Inquiry Project at the end of 8th grade, topic to be determined jointly by the student and the Advisor.
· will have completed all course requirements for high school graduation with either a Regents Diploma, or the Regents with Distinction Diploma. Regents passed with a 65% or above will include English, American History, Global Studies, Algebra, Geometry, Trigonometry, Spanish, Living Environment and Chemistry.
· will have developed and presented to the community a major High School Inquiry Project, demonstrating extensive research, acquisition of technology skills, a relationship to the local community and alignment with the academic course of studies.
· will have demonstrated participatory citizenship by completing a service learning component during both middle school and high school. Examples might include tutoring at a local day care or elementary school, working as an intern in a local government office, or creating and implementing an Inquiry Project related to a specific community need.
· will have created a Personal Fitness Plan, with evidence of participation in team sports or other physical activity.
· will have accrued up to 60 college credits from Queens College and will be academically, socially and emotionally prepared to continue pursuing a college education to a Bachelor’s degree or further.
