Guidelines for the Use of Research Enhancement Funds

1. Support laboratory renovations.

2. Provide matching funds for research equipment grants.

3. Fund release time for tenured faculty who have an active full-overhead grant.

4. Provide support for the stipends of doctoral students to junior faculty. If funds allow, provide support for post docs or lab technicians.

5. Support bridge funding to faculty who had at least six years of prior full-overhead funding.

6. Provide funding for projects that might enhance the possibility of obtaining grants.

7. Pay page charges for pre-tenure faculty.
