I would like to request your approval for a one-step salary merit increment, effective March 18, 2005, for Professor John Doe of the Department of Bicyling.  His current salary is $58,556 and his requested salary would be $61,111.  This increase would be an appropriate acknowledgement of his meritorious administrative service to the College as Chairperson of the Department of Bicyling.
