Dear Executive Vice Chancellor Botman:

I would like to request that John Doe’s J.D. degree from ABCD University School of Law be accepted as equivalent to the Ph.D. degree for his appointment as Adjunct Assistant Professor, effective September 1, 2004, in the Department of Secondary Education and Youth Services.

Professor Doe was an attorney from 1987 – 2003 and has represented clients in State and Federal Courts in New York City and in Los Angeles.  He was a member of the State Bar of California.
