Professor Doe has requested a Scholar Incentive Award to provide 25% of his salary, $24,538, for the Spring 2004 semester.  He has been invited by the Institute for Advanced Study of the Bicycling University in Chicago to be a Fellow and participant in the research group “On the Nature of Bicycling Belonging in Contemporary Times.”  This research will enable him to write a book on the complex and changing allegiances in contemporary bicycling.  He will receive $25,000 from the Institute.
