Re:	Divisional Advisory Committees’ Tenure and Promotion Ratings

The P and B Committee, meeting in executive session on 2005 February 9, voted that the Divisional Advisory Committees will use the following ratings, effective immediately:

A) For Tenure:

            3 = qualified (you believe the candidate is qualified)

            2 = uncertain (you are uncertain about the candidate’s qualifications)

            1 = unqualified (you believe the candidate is unqualified)

B) For Promotion:

            5 = very strong

            4 = strong

            3 = moderate / uncertain

            2 = weak

            1 = very weak

4, 5 mean promotion is recommended, while 3, 2, and 1 mean it is not recommended
