TEACHERS
We
are looking for Excellent Teachers for all Secondary Subject Areas
Our
teachers are dedicated students themselves, who strive to forge
excellent learning partnerships with their students and their
students' families. They have expert knowledge of their subject areas
and want to work with other teachers and students to create meaningful
conceptual links. They know the importance of collaboration and are
hard working members of an interdisciplinary teaching team. Our
teachers believe that learning is constructed and are willing to use
varied approaches to instruction, including cooperative groups,
differentiated learning, and whole class discussion. Our teachers are
also passionate about continuing their own education and constantly
search for new opportunities to improve their pedagogy. They take
advantage of the school's partnership with Queens College to attend
professional meetings, engage in regular professional development and
collaborate with college faculty. They are reflective practitioners
who excel in the classroom.
