The Department ceremony will be held in the Student Union Ballroom (4th floor) directly following the campus-wide commencement ceremony on May 31st, 2012. All grads are welcome, and are encouraged to bring family/friends; tickets are not required.

Keynote address at 1:00 will be given by Dr. Paul Glimcher from NYU on the neuroeconomics of decision making.
Ms. Olivia Munk, a Bronx High School of Science student who spent the previous two summers (and many weeknights and weekends) working in Dr. Brumberg's laboratory has been selected as an Intel SemiFinalist. Her project "Environment Dependent Dendritic Alterations" demonstrated how an animal's sensory experience can impact the structure of the cerebral cortex and that environmental enrichment can work to ameliorate some effects of early sensory deprivation.
