AM I DONE YET?
As graduation approaches, you should make sure that you have met all the requirements
for the major. You can do so by obtaining your unofficial transcript or your course history on CUNYfirst. Then, complete the checklist below.
From the transcript, check off the required courses taken and enter the number of credits for that course:
| Complete? |
Course |
Credits |
| |
Psych 101 (Introductory Psychology) |
|
| |
Psych 107 (Statistical Methods) |
|
| |
Psych 213W (Experimental Psych) |
|
| |
Psych 311-321 (Adv Experimental) |
|
| |
Add up the total number of credits for these four courses--> |
|
Next, list below all the elective (not required) Psychology courses taken with grade and number of credits. (Courses with grades of F ,INC, W , WU, ABS do not count. Courses transferred from other schools as Psychology 499 also do not count.) Note: if you repeat a course, you can only count the credits for that course once. You should enter the latest grade for that course in the table.
Total the number of elective credits and add that number to the number of required course credits and enter the total here: _____
If you declared a Psychology major as of Fall 2005 or later, you will need a total of 36 Psychology credits. If you declared a major from Fall 2000 up to Summer 2005, you will need 35 credits in Psychology; if you declared a major before Fall 2000, you need a total of 33 credits in Psychology.
You cannot have a P/NC in ANY Psychology course. If you do, you must contact the Committee on Scholastic Standards to request that they contact the Registrar to uncover the actual grade and replace the P or NC grade on your transcript.
You must have a minimum 2.0 grade point average in Psychology. Use the GPA
Calculator to make sure (shortcut: if all of your QC Psychology grades are C or
better, you will be above the requirement). In this case, F grades are counted toward
the grade point average.
If you declared Psychology as a major before Fall 2009, skip the following section. If you are not sure when you first declared the major, check with the Psychology department. Put a check next to any of the following courses that you have completed.
