Research Interests:

Being actively involved in both counseling and psychotherapy, my research has focused on the problems specific to certain clinical populations. Currently, my research is on substance users, specifically opiate users as well as on patients with Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders. I have been studying certain social and cognitive factors associated with motives for substance use. A major part of my work is also devoted to developing a psychobiological model to explain the role of genetic and environmental factors in the etiology of Obsessive Compulsive and Related Disorders.
