BIOGRAPHY:
Dr. June K. Miller obtained her doctorate (ED.D.) in Secondary Science Education from Teachers College, Columbia University. Dr. Miller began her teaching career in New York City after graduating from Queens College, CUNY, with a degree in biochemistry. She taught middle and high school physical science, biology, chemistry, and mathematics in New York City for close to ten years and has dual certification in biology and chemistry. She completed a doctorate in the Dept. of Mathematics, Science and Technology at Columbia University. She taught at Stony Brook, SUNY, and currently teachers undergraduate and graduate courses in Science Education in the Department of Secondary Education and Youth Services at Queens College, where she is Director of Secondary Science Education Programs and Director of the Teacher Academy for Mathematics and Science. Her research interests center on national science curriculum analysis and science curriculum design. She does consultative work in science program evaluation and is a member of the Science Education Section Advisory at the New York Academy of Sciences.
