Queens College Equivalent Classes and Syllabi
Since 1921, the University for Foreigners has welcomed tens of thousands of students and teachers from every part of the world and it has reached (with a widespread capacity of distribution and penetration) Italian teaching centres abroad and the areas in which, due to the recovery of historical memories or due to a more recent attraction, Italy and Italian are subject to strong scientific and cultural interest.
The Italian Language and Culture Courses are of various kinds:

Beginner's courses
Intermediate courses
Advanced courses
Objectives
The objective of the course is to provide students with the abilities and skills
required for simple and essential oral interaction in the most common and familiar
situations in order to satisfy concrete demands. Special attention is given to aspects
of pronunciation (phonological control) and writing (orthographic control) of the
Italian language.
Length and characteristics
Italian language: 12 hours
Speaking practice: 6 hours
Practice in pronunciation and orthography: 2 hours
Intensive Course
Italian language: 12 hours
Speaking practice: 9 hours
Writing practice: 4 hours
Practice in pronunciation and orthography: 2 hours
