Students will be given a placement examination to ascertain their level of expertise. All courses will have Grammar, Conversation, Reading, and Culture & Civilization components. The program will focus on improving the language skills and cultural awareness of the students and bring them closer to the different aspects of Spanish life. All classes are combined with a complete program of activities to incorporate the students into daily Spanish life. Additionally, students of all courses will have a walking sightseeing tour of Valladolid, a Welcome Dinner in town, as well as excursions to historic sites such as the city of Segovia with its famous Roman aqueduct, or the Castle Tour of famous castles of the region. Guided visits to the museums of Valladolid will also be organized. Leisure activities will include Spanish music and guided cinema sessions. A Student ID Card will be issued to all students to allow use of the libraries, computer rooms and other facilities of the University of Valladolid.
