Instructions for Assignment 3

Your task is to include an online, alternative science assessment related to a topic in your online science course.  For example, you might ask students to make a model of a cell using materials found at home.  The students could then take a digital photo of their model and upload it with a description of how their model is similar to and different from a real cell. Try to be creative and allow the students to demonstrate what they know through the use of a variety of technology tools and sensory modalities.  Students could draw cartoons, make posters, glogs, animations, songs, stories, poems, brochures, simulations, etc.  You should include a link to the assessment in Moodle and from your Google web site, along with any instructions needed by the students to complete the alternative assessment.  Make sure that the assessment can stand on its own and that enough information is provided to the students.
